Programs

All athletic programs are a big business for people involved with middle and high school student-athletes. Athletic camps/clinics also cost money which families with low financial income cannot afford. When high school student-athletes are unable to attend these camps, they miss coaching techniques taught by highly respected coaches and players in the business of football. The Taro Roots Foundation Football Clinics will benefit elementary-to-middle-school students’ families who can’t afford to pay for these camps, which are middle-to-lower-class families. The objective is to create a “free of charge” academic/athletic clinic as a tool to promote higher education and increase the perception that higher education will benefit student-athletes via a better future. The belief is to combine the best of academia and athletics to help expand opportunities for young Pacific Islanders and non-Pacific Islanders in financial predicaments.
